Laundry Worker
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role supports a sanitary and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests, and includes operating laundry equipment, maintaining activity records, following infection control policies, and providing customer service. Additional duties may be assigned. The position requires the ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks, follow oral and written instructions, and work around cleaning products. Candidates must be able to meet the stated physical demands and reside within the service area. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous laundry experience are preferred but not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Be able to work around cleaning products.
- Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
