About The Position

Healthcare Services Group is hiring a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role involves processing and distributing laundry, operating equipment, maintaining records, following infection-control practices, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position is part-time with flexible availability. The starting pay rate is $17.25 per hour; actual pay may vary based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business factors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
