About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Laundry Worker in a long-term care facility. This role helps maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments and supports a sanitary, welcoming environment for residents and staff. The Laundry Worker collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and distributes linens and personal clothing; safely operates laundry equipment; and follows infection-control and universal-precautions policies. The position also involves maintaining activity records, reporting maintenance or safety concerns, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests.

The role requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks. Employees must be able to work around cleaning products and meet the stated physical requirements. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work around cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
