About The Position

AHC Hospitality represents a diverse array of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, providing exceptional experiences for guests. This role is for a Laundry Washperson at the Amway Grand Plaza. The position involves running the wash floor to the standards of the department and Hotel. The company invests in supporting employee growth and sees associate success as their success.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a 10 hr. shift running the washers
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to handle or feel objects with hands and fingers.
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to talk or hear.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop; kneel, and crouch.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload washers for a 10-hour shift
  • Sort and get loads ready to be washed
  • Clean linen up off the ramp going to the laundry
  • Keep the wash area in order and clean
  • Attend departmental meetings.
  • Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Actively working, always looking for ways to assist guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service.
  • Ensuring the quality and level of service that the General Manager, Manager on Duty, Laundry Manager and Supervisor expect is excellent and follows our company standards and policies.
  • Reads or listens to Daily Beat.
  • Reads and understands all memos that pertain to the valet parking department.
  • Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
  • Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list.
  • Maintain a clean and organized area
  • Follow our hotel green policies.
  • Ensure trash/recyclables are taken out.
  • Follow AHC guest service standards.
  • Actively work with department staff, while following all departmental rules.
  • Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by General Manager, Guest Care Manager, Manager on Duty or Supervisor.
