Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of related experience with demonstrated supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinates daily operations and schedules work assignments for a designated shift in laundry services.
May assist in administrative activities.
Functions as a technical resource for laundry workers and orients and trains new staff.
Oversees the proper cleaning and daily operation of laundry machines and equipment; notifies maintenance staff of necessary repairs.
Maintains adequate levels of laundry supplies and linens and reports inventory needs to manager.
Ensures that materials are available and that equipment is ready at beginning of shift.
Supervises staff and manages employee performance.
Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
Interviews applicants and recommends candidates for selected positions.
Makes recommendations for disciplinary or corrective action; provides recommendations for completing performance evaluations.
Assists in developing employee work schedules; prioritizes and gives daily work assignments to support and laundry staff; coordinates holiday and vacation schedules.
