About The Position

Laundry Personnel works in various areas in laundry, including sorting, removing stains by hand, washing, drying, detailed folding, packing supplies, and operating the iron machine. Laundry washes supplies for all departments, including banquets, maintenance, and housekeeping. Occasionally, laundry personnel will assist room cleaners by stripping rooms. The Housekeeping Department's mission is to provide the best in-room experience through high-level cleaning team service, making guests feel like part of the Campbell's Family. The department offers exceptional cleaning services in rooms, conference rooms, the restaurant, and public areas, ensuring these spaces are clean and comfortable for guests.

Requirements

Ability to make decisions, be adaptable, and work as a team in a work environment.
Verbal communication skills in Basic English and Spanish.
Understand the laundry manual.
Load with caution 40lbs.
Ability to climb stairs with loads.
Ability to lift objects above the head.
Ability to bend over to kneel and stretch carefully.
Possess the ability to manage time effectively.
Motivation to serve the public; ability to find jobs to do without constant supervision.
Flexible and willing to learn to do new jobs.
Have the ability to pay attention to detail completely.
Must be able to pass a mandatory background check of the company.
Stand 8 to 10 hours per day.
Ability to safely operate laundry machines.
Ability to safely operate a sewing machine.
Have respect for all your co-workers.
Good hygiene and personal hygiene.
Not be allergic to chemicals.
Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Sort all kinds of clothes that come to laundry.
Wash necessary sheets, towels, tablecloths, rags, curtains, blankets, kitchen towels, and restaurant uniforms.
Work at both Campbell’s and At Midtowner Motel properties.
Remove stains from clothes that need to be scrubbed.
Wash clothes that are stained with blood, vomit, poop, or have dog or cat hair.
Dry clothes after washing, moving them to dryers.
Fold kitchen towels, small hand towels, tablecloths, fitted sheets, curtains, and colored clothes by hand.
Operate the folding machine for large and medium towels, pool towels, and cloth mats.
Operate the iron machine, which requires two people to handle sheets, covers, and tablecloths.
Pack folded items such as sheets, covers, regular curtains, and tablecloths.
Be informed of the services Campbell’s offers to guests.
Have daily responsibility for your assigned area.
Have the responsibility for the final inspection in detail.
Make inventories and follow your list of activities.
Clean your designated areas at the end of the day and help your team.
Be trained in a different section each day, with cross-training in subsequent weeks.
Be trained in room cleaning.
Other duties as required.
