About The Position

This position is responsible for washing, drying, and folding housekeeping linen and terry. The role requires flexibility to assist in other departments when needed and demands a courteous, positive, and helpful demeanor towards guests and associates. Professionalism in demeanor and appearance is expected at all times.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
No experience necessary, will be trained.
Basic English reading, writing, and communication skills if/when receiving instructions in English.
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and/or flexible hours.
Willingness to comply with hotel’s policy and procedures regarding attendance and attire.
Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as, but not limited to, a vacuum.
Ability to properly and safely use chemicals.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, fold and deliver linen to housekeeping closets.
Fold linen to hotel standard – with minimal wrinkles.
Operate hotel rotary iron for linen with safety and precaution.
Maintain cleanliness of washing machines and dryers – clean lint traps and drains.
Monitor linen for stains and wear and tear – follow proper procedure for reclaim.
Collect dirty linen from attendants, guest rooms and housekeeping carts if needed.
Report any malfunction of washer and dryers to Housekeeping Management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry room and storage laundry room.
Remove any accumulated trash in laundry room.
Assist with deep cleaning projects and cleanliness of employee areas – breakroom, locker rooms, and employee hallways.
Provide professional, courteous, respectful guest service in a timely manner.
