About The Position

The Linen Technician is responsible for providing safe, hygienic, and clean linen services to our patient care areas in accordance with organizational standards of quality.

Requirements

Demonstrated working knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements.
Demonstrated working knowledge of proper and safe chemical use.
Demonstrated working knowledge of equipment handling.
Demonstrated working knowledge of labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.
Knowledge of separating clean & dirty linen to avoid cross-contamination and risk to our patients.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of Customer Services experience
1-2 years of Hospitality experience
1-2 years of Environmental Services experience

Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for distribution, organization, and inventory of clean linen and scrubs throughout patient care and clean storage areas.
If assigned or required, collect soiled linen from designed soiled holdings and chute rooms.
Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)).
Knowledge of separating clean & dirty linen to avoid cross-contamination and risk to our patients.
