About The Position

Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Stager to be responsible for pulling and preparing ingredients according to batch sheets and returning Raw Materials back to appropriate locations when finished. This role involves working in both office and plant environments, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and potentially wet, humid, cold conditions, high places, outside weather, and vibration. The noise level is usually loud, with dust and odor present.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 65 lbs. throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shift.
  • Comfortable working with and around allergens and chemicals.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Avon, OH.
  • Must be able to complete forklift certification program within 30 days of hire.
  • Must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or packaging experience.
  • Experience working in a food production environment.
  • Knowledge of Inventory (DAX) system.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling and preparing ingredients according to batch sheets.
  • Returning Raw Materials back to appropriate locations when finished.
  • Read and interpret production schedules, formulas, Bill of Ladings and other documents for products being produced.
  • Follow procedures exactly and document lot numbers, weights and other information on batch sheets without error.
  • Open containers with, but not limited to, manual and pneumatic can openers and knives.
  • Organize Raw Materials in proper batch sequence utilizing the designated lot numbers.
  • Complete all training defined and made available for the current assigned role, assuring full understanding and ability to perform trained activities.
  • Responsible for the coordination and review of specific functional area BRC criteria.
  • Ensure BRC protocols are implemented and audited as required.
  • Provide employee training as needed.
  • Ensure Food products meet safety, quality, authentic and legal requirements.
  • Complete forklift certification program within 30 days of hire.
  • Other duties as assigned.
