About The Position

Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management. Drives a truck for pick-up and delivery of materials, or transportation of staff. Moves materials to/from vehicles and loads and unloads materials into and out of vehicle. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc. Detects and eliminates or minimizes safety hazards. Inspects vehicle for safety, fuel, oil and water before departure and documents results of inspection. Services equipment with fuel, oil and other needs: checks fluid levels, cleans equipment and vehicles externally and internally, replaces bulbs and filters, etc. in accordance with policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor. Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to the department to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

  • Some High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • No formal experience required for the position
  • Ability to recognize and work with numbers.
  • Operate industrial laundry equipment.
  • Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.
