About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. This role involves maintaining and operating laundry equipment, properly handling linens, and keeping laundry areas clean and organized. The attendant must provide high-quality service, anticipate guest needs, and work effectively within a team.
Requirements
- Able to work in a team environment and take direction.
- Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate all laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures, like the laundry room checklist.
- Properly load and unload washers and dryers, being careful not to overload either machine.
- Fold linen in accordance with established procedures and use a folding machine and feed ironer if needed.
- Stock, clean, and maintain laundry carts, storage areas, and laundry racks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
