About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments in the laundry department. This role involves operating laundry and dry cleaning machinery, processing various linens and garments, and ensuring all items meet hotel standards. The attendant must observe all safety and security procedures, use chemicals correctly according to OSHA regulations, and handle personal protective equipment appropriately. Additionally, the role includes inspecting linens for damage, performing minor mending, filling linen requisitions, delivering guest service supplies, processing contract-cleaned linens, restocking housekeeping supplies, and providing towel service to recreation areas.
Requirements
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Knowledge of laundry/dry cleaning equipment and chemical handling.
- Knowledge of finishing techniques for all types of fabrics.

- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process all bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating all laundry/dry cleaning machinery in accordance with hotel's standards.
- Clean, press and finish staff and guest garments, as well as designated guest room fabrics and articles.
- Sort, pretreat, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens.
- Inspect linens for tears and/or stains and reject or reclaim them.
- Mend and sew linens.
- Fill banquet and restaurant linen requisitions.
- Deliver guest service supplies to guest rooms.
- Process contract-cleaned linens.
- Restock housekeeping closets and carts.
- Provide towel service to recreation areas.
