About The Position

Under direction of the laundry supervisor, the attendant will be responsible for daily operation of plant including, processing tasks related to linen and terry. This position requires teamwork and flexible hours. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of department needs that would be outlined by supervisor.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to follow directions and show respect to other employees, supervisor and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of laundry services and 1 year of laundry experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the laundry facility, including processing tasks related to linen and terry.
  • Responsible for linen flow as it relates to the breaking down bags, sorting areas, folding areas and flatwork processing.
  • Work heavily with a team to ensure the proper cleaning and processing of all linens for the entire resort.
  • Responsible for linen flow as it relates to the sorting areas, folding areas and flatwork processing.
  • Adhere to all health department, sanitation and safety regulation as required by the resort.
  • Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies and equipment.
  • Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift as well as making sure the working area is cleaned up after the shift.
  • Monitor conditions of linens and sort appropriately, either in the stained pile or according to the linen type.
  • Report faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safely hazards and other problems immediately to your supervisor.
  • Will work with, and properly store, cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Restock work areas for the next shift, as assigned.
  • Will need to be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
