About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing and storing spotlessly clean hotel linens in a timely, organized manner to ensure guest room linen needs are met in support of the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver exceptional guest service.

Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety related procedures while performing all tasks.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including Weekday, Evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Standing and walking for an entire shift.
  • Perform repetitive motions, bending, stretching, reaching, stooping.
  • Pushing up to 20-30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in similar capacities; hotels, hospitals etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Folds clean linens and stores as appropriate.
  • Operates linen feeder, and table linen ironer machines.
  • Fold and store clean linens and towels, report damages to supervisor.
  • Operate iron as per standard and ensure that it is shut off at the end of day.
  • Assists in daily linen counts for monthly inventories.
  • Maintains the laundry and appropriate facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor.
  • Respond to linen requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Loads exchange carts for each unit using par level set for linen delivery.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed.
  • Follow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
