The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing, cleanliness, and organization of all hotel linens. This role supports overall hotel operations by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation while contributing to a positive guest experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with laundry equipment and chemical handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Process, sort, wash, dry, fold, and store hotel linens and terry in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Inspect all linens and terry for stains, damage, or defects prior to and after processing; rewash or remove items as needed.
  • Pre-treat stained items and ensure all laundry meets cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, report malfunctions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including routine cleaning of machines, lint traps, floors, and workspaces.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals, use of PPE (gloves, goggles), and adherence to hotel safety standards.
  • Accurately complete daily production logs, inventory counts, and required documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Stock and organize linen storage areas, carts, and racks to support housekeeping operations.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and leadership to ensure timely availability of clean linens for guest rooms and operations.
  • Deliver clean linen to designated areas and departments as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of hotel information and protect company assets at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and leadership.
  • Support additional housekeeping duties during peak business demands, including assisting with guest rooms if needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
