Benzinger’s Clothing Care is looking for a dependable Evening Sorter to join our production team. If you enjoy staying busy, working independently, multi-tasking and excel at paying attention to detail, this is the job for you.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret garment care labels
- Organized and able to prioritize work to meet due dates
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to maintain steady productivity throughout the shift
Nice To Haves
- Previous production, laundry, or dry-cleaning experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Examine and sort garments by due date, color, fabric, stain type, and care label
- Separate items into shirt, dry cleaning, and wet cleaning loads
- Inspect garments for stains, imperfections, or special treatment needs
- Pretreat stains and scrub collars as needed
- Start and monitor wet cleaning machines (ensuring correct settings and detergent/starch levels)
- Unload, sort, and process wash-and-fold orders
- Maintain productivity while meeting daily deadlines
