About The Position

The Laundry Attendant provides customer service and works harmoniously with customers and coworkers, including handling difficult customer interactions. The role operates laundry equipment and processes linens and towels, including sorting, feeding, catching, folding, stacking, bundling, and loading items onto carts or shelves. The position also maintains inventory counts and related records and may assist with washing and sorting as requested.

The work environment may have varying noise levels depending on work volume. The position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior laundry experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to feed sheets into a flatwork ironer and stack the product.
• Ability to feed a towel-folding machine.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical mobility.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and deal with difficult customers in varying business conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and handle interactions with customers and employees, including difficult customer situations.

• Catch, fold, stack, and bundle linens using a tying machine.
• Sort and load towels onto linen carts.
• Stack linens onto shelves.
• Maintain inventory control, item counts, and related records.
• Assist with washing and sorting as requested.
