About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is an integral part of the Laundry & Valet Team who collectively is responsible for the meticulous upkeep of all linens used throughout the hotel.

Requirements

  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to understand and working knowledge of English.
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • High school degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Six months to a year previous experience in laundry, dry cleaning or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sorts, processes and folds guests’ laundry, rooms and F&B linens such as sheets, towels, table clothes and napkins, amongst other specialty linen.
  • Sorts used guests’ laundry and linens into appropriate categories for washing.
  • Sorts out stained or torn attires or linen.
  • Loads and unloads driers.
  • Shakes wet guests’ laundry, sheets, table linens and napkins prior to ironing in order to spread them out.
  • Feeds washed linens into ironer.
  • Retrieves folded guests’ laundry and linens and stacks or hangs clean guests; laundry or linens as appropriate.
  • Sorts clean towels, rugs and robes.
  • Places folded product on appropriate rack.
  • Reports any problems or deficiencies to manager.
  • Assists to operate and maintains washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine, presser and iron.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Handles responsibilities and duties in the areas of dry cleaning and laundry cleaning.
  • Handles responsibility of valet runner in case of absence or heavy duty.
