About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments. This role involves observing all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures. The attendant will cooperate with Managers and Supervisors to complete requests promptly and use correct cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment according to regulations and hotel policies. Key duties include sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens, inspecting linens for damage, mending and sewing linens, filling linen requisitions, delivering guest service supplies, processing contract-cleaned linens, restocking housekeeping closets and carts, and providing towel service to recreation areas. The position requires processing all bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating laundry/dry cleaning machinery, and cleaning, pressing, and finishing staff and guest garments, as well as designated guest room fabrics and articles.

Requirements

Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Knowledge of laundry/dry cleaning equipment and chemical handling
Knowledge of finishing techniques for all types of fabrics.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

Process all bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating all laundry/dry cleaning machinery in accordance with hotel's standards.
Clean, press and finish staff and guest garments, as well as designated guest room fabrics and articles.
Sorts, pretreats, washes, dries, irons, and folds linens.
Inspects linens for tears and/or stains and rejects or reclaims them.
Mends and sews linens.
Fills banquet and restaurant linen requisitions.
Delivers guest service supplies to guest rooms.
Processes contract-cleaned linens.
Restocks housekeeping closets and carts.
Provides towel service to recreation areas.
