About The Position

Responsible for cleanliness, collection, distribution, and inventory of all linens. This role involves sorting soiled linen, separating terry for in-house laundry and linen for outsource laundry, collecting dirty linen, and transporting it to the dock. The attendant will also load/unload bins of linen from the laundry truck, load and unload washers and dryers, and fold terry. Maintaining a clean laundry area, cleaning laundry machines, and assisting in laundry inventories are also key responsibilities. Reporting mechanical problems and hazardous conditions to the supervisor is required. The position may also involve assisting in the uniform room during the PM shift.

Requirements

• Must be able to carry 75 lbs.
• Commitment to superior customer service and excellent customer service skills.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Fluency in job related English both verbal and non-verbal.
• An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace.
• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast paced environment.
• Minimum one year experience within housekeeping dept.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities
