About The Position

S&L Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure all hotel laundry items are clean and properly stocked to meet daily hotel demands. The ideal candidate will have prior relevant work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, and possess strong organizational skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure. This role involves working between 7 am and 10 pm, including weekends and holidays. Further discussions about schedules and availability will occur during the interview process.

Requirements

Previous hotel laundry experience preferred.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of laundry often.
Ability to bend at the waist.
Ability to reach overhead.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motions.
Must be at least 16 years of age (some positions may require 18+).

Prior work experience in a relevant position, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Sort dirty linens daily for washing, ensuring machine load minimums are met.
Remove stains from soiled linen using the proper reclaim process.
Remove damaged linen or terry that cannot be reclaimed from circulation.
Operate washers and dryers correctly.
Fold all linens according to hotel standards.
Wash banquet and kitchen laundry, if applicable.
Wash bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets according to manufacturer specifications and brand standards.
Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
Handle all laundry chemical products properly and in accordance with OSHA standards, referring to SDS sheets.
Inform the Housekeeping Manager of laundry chemical inventory levels.
Assist the housekeeping department in other areas when laundry tasks are completed or when laundry volume is low.
Follow all safety and security guidelines, policies, and practices as required by S&L Hospitality and the brand.
Participate in required safety training programs (e.g., HazCom, Blood Borne Pathogens, Emergency Evacuation).
Perform any other assigned tasks by the Housekeeping Manager.
