The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. This role contributes to happy guests, spotless cleanliness, product consistency & quality, and teamwork. The Laundry Attendant performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering. They are responsible for washing and drying all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management, and removing and sorting dirty linens and towels from laundry carts. The role also involves folding linens/towels and stocking linen carts, as required. The attendant must understand the operation of washing machines and dryers, clean dryer filters as directed, and maintain all equipment as trained. Maintaining laundry facility cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors, storing all linens off the floor, and keeping laundry carts clean and free of debris is also essential. They stock all linen closets throughout the hotel and ensure all back of house areas are well-organized and clean. Chemical management, including replacing and replenishing cleaning chemicals, is also part of the role.
