About The Position

Oxford Casino Hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant/Dual Rate Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor in ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of all housekeeping and laundry functions. This role involves coordinating the hotel housekeeping team, inspecting rooms and public areas, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cleaning rooms, and completing laundry tasks. The supervisor will also focus on team member safety and proper ergonomic practices, assist with training Room Attendants and Laundry Attendants, and work towards achieving hotel objectives.

Requirements

General computer skills, including Email and Microsoft Office
General PMS familiarity
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to multi-task and take direction
Able to stand for long periods of time and able to walk long distances (within building)
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, carrying and climbing
Able to occasionally exert 50 pounds of force
Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of housekeeping & laundry so all rooms are cleaned and inspected prior to guest check-in.
Effectively communicate with guests, team members and other departments.
Plan, assign and coordinate room boards and activities for room attendants.
Coordinate daily housekeeping staffing needs based on business volume and workload.
Lead pre-shift team member meetings.
Manage Lost-and-Found items, inquiries, returns and shipping & billing process.
Maintain inventories of amenities, cleaning supplies & linen stock to ensure adequate stock quantities and reorders are placed in a timely manner.
Monitor and motivate the housekeeping & laundry team to ensure high levels of productivity.
Assist with team member recruitment, hiring, and training qualified housekeeping team members.
Recommend counseling and potential disciplinary action for housekeeping team members.
Thoroughly clean and replenish supplies hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures.
Sort, launder, fold and deliver linens according to department procedures.
Stock housekeeping and laundry carts with supplies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
