About The Position

Join our team as a Laundry Assistant and play an important role in providing clean, comfortable linens and clothing that help create a positive experience for our residents. This is a Part-Time position, working 60 hours every two weeks. Work hours are weekdays from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, and every other weekend/holiday from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Works well with residents and team members.
  • Capable of lifting, loading, and transporting laundry carts weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of laundry chemicals and their proper use preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure resident clothing and linens are clean, labeled, distributed, and maintained in good condition.
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens according to established procedures.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely, including washers, dryers, and related machinery.
  • Follow infection control, isolation, and laundry handling procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Stock and organize linen closets and laundry supplies throughout the facility.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laundry and storage areas.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members while providing excellent customer service.
  • Complete required documentation and comply with facility policies, resident rights, and safety regulations.
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, routine maintenance, and supply replenishment.
  • Participate in required training, meetings, emergency preparedness, and other duties as assigned.
