About The Position

Tonganoxie Terrace is currently hiring a Laundry and Housekeeping Attendant to support overnight laundry operations and maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. The Laundry and Housekeeping Attendant plays an important role in ensuring clean linens are available, common areas are properly maintained, and the facility is clean and prepared for the next day's operations.

Requirements

• Ability to safely handle cleaning products and housekeeping equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks during an overnight shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or cleaning experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and infection control practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete overnight laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and stocking facility linens
• Ensure clean linens, towels, and other laundry supplies are available and prepared for the following day
• Maintain laundry areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition
• Clean and disinfect common areas, hallways, restrooms, and other designated spaces
• Sweep floors and operate floor-cleaning equipment as needed
• Clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed
• Clean resident rooms when needed or assigned
• Respond to spills and other housekeeping needs throughout the shift
• Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and prepared for morning operations
• Restock linen closets and designated storage areas
• Follow facility cleaning, sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
• Properly use and store cleaning products and equipment
• Report maintenance, sanitation, supply, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Complete required laundry and housekeeping checklists and documentation
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality
