About The Position

Kahl Home is a faith-based, nonprofit, short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955. We are seeking to hire a Laundry Aide for a part-time position. The schedule includes Mondays from 6 am to 2 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and every other weekend from 6 am to 2 pm. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and able to handle stress.
Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility procedures and policies.
Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Distribute soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
Laundry duties: wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry to residents.
Empty trash, dusts, vacuums all common areas.
Clean all bathrooms, furniture and fixtures, window ledges.
Mop, buff and extracting all floors.
Assist with cleaning of resident’s rooms related to move out/move in schedules.
