Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a dependable and friendly Laundry Aide to join our team! This is a part-time position, working Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Our Environmental Team plays an important role in the health and happiness of our residents. Requirements

The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift

Responsibilities

Follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
Maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
