About The Position
The Laundry Aide maintains an adequate supply of clean garments and linens and helps prevent the spread of infection through proper handling, storage, washing, and transport. The role also includes distributing clean clothing to residents and keeping the laundry area orderly. The position is part time at Autumn Aegis in Lorain, Ohio, with a 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. schedule. Sprenger Health Care describes itself as a third-generation developer, owner, and operator of senior living communities and services in Ohio and South Carolina.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean garments and linens.
- Properly handle, store, wash, and transport garments and linens to help prevent the spread of infection.
- Hang, fold, and stack garments and linens.
- Sort and distribute clothes to residents’ rooms.
- Clean and maintain the laundry room in an orderly fashion.
- Assist with housekeeping duties.
