Western Slope Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team! While laundry may happen behind the scenes, it plays a vital role in resident comfort and quality of life. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and positive attitude
- Commitment to providing excellent service to residents and coworkers
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate laundry equipment
Responsibilities
- Collect resident laundry daily and as needed
- Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens
- Label new resident clothing items as needed
- Deliver clean laundry promptly to resident rooms
- Inspect linens and clothing for stains, tears, and damage
- Remove worn or damaged linens from service
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
- Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Operate washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs promptly
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laundry area
