About The Position

The Laundry Aide is responsible for sorting laundry, folding terry and linens, and providing service to guests and other departments. This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and order of the laundry facility.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year previous Housekeeping/Laundry experience preferred.
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Positive, upbeat attitude.
Good communication skills, including verbal and written.
Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and Drug Screen as a condition of employment.
Must be able to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities when asked.
Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high level of workplace safety.
Operate laundry equipment safely as trained.
Adhere to personal appearance standards and present a professional image.
Monitor the quality of laundered linen/terry and notify management of any deviations or unacceptable items.
Maintain a continual flow of linen/terry as directed.
Maintain a pleasant and tactful personality.
Possess excellent organization and communication skills.
Maintain high staff morale and project a positive attitude.
Work effectively with others.
Be detail and quality oriented.
Ability to multi-task.
Possess excellent time management skills and be comfortable with meeting firm deadlines.
Responsible for any projects assigned.
Assist in any area of laundry where needed.
Report any misuse of linen/terry to management.
Ensure all laundry employees meet resort standards.
Responsible for any and all other reasonable requests by management.
Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
