About The Position

The Laundry Aide 1 is responsible for sorting laundry, folding terry/linens, and providing service to guests and other departments. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and order of the laundry facility, ensuring a high level of workplace safety, and operating laundry equipment safely as trained. The aide must adhere to personal appearance standards, present a professional image, and monitor the quality of laundered linen/terry, reporting any deviations to the Laundry Manager/Supervisor. Key responsibilities include maintaining a continual flow of linen/terry, possessing excellent organization and communication skills, and demonstrating a pleasant and tactful personality. The position requires maintaining high staff morale, projecting a positive attitude, working effectively with others, and being detail and quality oriented. The Laundry Aide must be able to multi-task, possess excellent time management skills, and be comfortable with meeting firm deadlines. They are responsible for assigned projects, assisting in any area of laundry as needed, reporting misuse of linen/terry, and ensuring all laundry employees meet Grand Traverse Resort and Spa standards. The role also requires understanding and abiding by the environmental practices of the resort and performing other reasonable requests by management.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year previous Housekeeping/Laundry experience
High school diploma or its equivalent

Responsibilities

Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
Other duties may be assigned
Perform other reasonable related job responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor and/or other management of the Resort to meet the current needs of the department or business
