About The Position

Firefly Aerospace’s Integration Technicians support the efficient and successful assembly and testing of the Alpha Launch Vehicle. The role requires understanding the intent behind design decisions and applying that understanding to assembly work, with a strong background in production or maintenance of complex avionics systems such as those used in aviation. The technician stages, sets up, assembles, tests, and installs flight hardware, including cable harnessing; follows assembly procedures, work instructions, and integration plans; and uses required tooling and fixtures. The role also involves working in ESD environments, identifying and resolving discrepancies between design and manufacture or assembly, supporting engineering with manufacturability and producibility, managing payload and interface requirements, planning customer integration activities and concepts of operations, and performing fit checks and load testing. Effective communication with engineers and teammates is required. Travel of up to 30% is expected. Applicants must meet U.S. Government space technology export-control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
