Launch Integration Engineer II

Relativity Space•Cape Canaveral, FL
•$104,000 - $156,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Launch Integration Engineer II authors vehicle processing and checkout activities at the launch site, from receiving through launch operations, to ensure execution readiness and product quality across subassemblies and integrated systems. The role develops and releases build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for consistent, high-quality execution across initial builds and ongoing programs. It also supports first-article builds, emphasizing repeatability and quality while establishing scalable processes for higher launch rates. The position provides hands-on floor support during build and test, resolves issues in real time, incorporates technician feedback, and drives continuous improvement in hardware flow and process discipline. It coordinates with design, supply chain, production, and test teams on part readiness, tooling availability, schedule alignment, and handoffs between build stages. The engineer also contributes to long-term manufacturing systems and infrastructure, including tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, and production documentation standards. The role is part of Relativity Space’s Launch team, which works across Terran R stages, payloads, ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. The position requires clearance through a US government-administered background check for on-site work at a government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Travel to production and test sites may be required. The hiring range is $104,000–$156,000 USD.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing or integration environment.
  • Experience investigating hardware issues, resolving non-conformances, and performing root cause analysis with effective corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with general assembly and test procedures, including structural proof testing and pressurized leak checks.
  • Ability to work effectively across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to ensure hardware quality and schedule alignment.
  • Experience collaborating with technicians, engineers, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in CAD and basic design or test analysis.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly of large-scale, complex systems.
  • Must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at the government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Nice To Haves
