We’re looking to you to help us optimize our efforts in safety, quality and productivity. This involves applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to advance continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 3 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, primarily to Ford plants in Michigan and Kentucky.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of experience in Industrial Engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience supporting a new product launch or New Model Program within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • MODAPTS Certification.
  • GSPAS/APT knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office – MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Intermediate Level).
  • AutoCAD Experience.
  • Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through route cause analysis to drive change back to the appropriate departments.
  • Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete APT allocations for future programs as they relate to cycle line layout reviews.
  • Support process sheet development/modifications to enable accurate allocations for future programs.
  • Assist with input to station layouts as they relate to tooling, material presentation, and error proofing.
  • Drive development and/or implementation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods. Track labor through efficient manpower utilization.
  • Conduct ergonomic job evaluations and implement workstation designs that meet safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Analyze problem process constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates of new or revised methods and standards.
  • Conduct time and motion/MODAPTS studies and review proposals and suggestions.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and planning.
  • Conduct value stream mapping and process audits.
