About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Catholic Middle/High School Latin teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 4 afternoon hours per week at our center in Lapeer, Michigan. The position is hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided. RCA is a national organization that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. Teachers must be willing to prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. All staff complete a background check and training.

Requirements

Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
Deep love for the Catholic faith.
Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
Standard computer skills.
Clear background check.

Nice To Haves

Teaching certification or formal teaching experience.
Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
Ministry in your Catholic parish.
Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
Teaching your own children.
Teaching in a classical or private school.
Experience with Google Suite or an equivalent.
