About The Position

Ascentec Engineering is seeking a Lathe Machinist Production Supervisor to join our team. We are an industry-leading, AS9100-certified contract CNC machining and assembly provider dedicated to producing some of the world’s most advanced hardware. The Lathe Machinist Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and leading the team’s day-to-day operations to ensure resources are effectively deployed in alignment with company goals and objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally with departments including Quality, Materials, Packaging & Shipping, Engineering, and Human Resources to ensure the daily needs of manufacturing operations are met efficiently and consistently. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business Management or Engineering and 3+ years previous supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required); Advanced Excel experience (preferred)
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Experience working in a CNC Machining Environment (required)
  • Understanding of CNC machine controls and instrumentation
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues

  • Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
  • Creates and maintains professional schedules
  • Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
  • Evaluates the condition of production equipment
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
  • Compiles and analyzes production records
