About The Position

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is seeking a 3rd Shift Lathe CNC Machinist. This role involves setting up and operating CNC lathe machines, programming using MasterCam or by hand, and ensuring parts are machined to print specifications. The machinist will also be responsible for performing machine maintenance and verifying finished work pieces.

Requirements

• Able to program using Mastercam or by long hand.
• Able to set up and run parts complete, to print.
• Able to verify parts machined per print before handing them off to inspection.
• Able to layout features on material using drawings.
• Able to be self-motivated and stay organized.
• Attention to detail and proficient computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of programming using Mastercam or long hand required.
• 4+ years set up and operation of CNC Lathes and Mills required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Foundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program using Mastercam or by long hand.
• Set up/design fixturing for machine operations needed to complete parts.
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Perform all required maintenance for machines.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.
• Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts.
