About The Position

The Cottonwood Heights Police Department is seeking experienced, POST-certified law enforcement professionals who are committed to serving their community with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. This position works under the direction of a Police Sergeant and performs a variety of law enforcement duties including patrol operations, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and other activities necessary to protect life and property within the community.

Requirements

Must be POST LEO Certified
Must have a minimum of two years of law enforcement experience
Must be in good standing at a current agency (if employed) or have retired within the past 2 years.
High school diploma, GED, or an appropriate equivalent.
Must have a valid Utah driver's license or have the ability to obtain one before employment.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation.
Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.

Nice To Haves

Preference points will be added for Military Service (must provide a copy of the Military Discharge form DD214 at the time of application)
