About The Position

Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC is seeking an experienced Lateral Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. We represent clients in high-stakes, complex litigation throughout West Virginia and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate while remaining connected to a collaborative team of accomplished litigators across our Charleston, Morgantown, and Wheeling offices. Occasional travel to our Charleston office may be required. Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar (or the ability to obtain admission promptly).
Significant litigation experience with demonstrated success handling complex matters.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Commercial Litigation, Insurance Defense, Product Liability, Medical Malpractice, Mass Litigation, Other complex civil litigation.
Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and dispositive motion practice.
Strong organizational and case management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.

Responsibilities

Managing all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals as appropriate.
Drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
Conducting thorough legal research and developing strategic litigation approaches.
Representing clients in court proceedings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Providing practical legal counsel and regular communication to clients throughout the litigation process.
Collaborating with attorneys across multiple practice areas to develop innovative litigation strategies.
Contributing to the continued growth of the firm through exceptional client service, business development, and professional networking.
