Be part of a team that’s redefining industries and pushing boundaries! We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be proficient in MIG and TIG welding processes across a variety of materials including Nickel alloys, Steel, and Aluminum. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to quality, and a commitment to workplace safety in compliance with Ontario legislation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in both MIG and TIG processes
  • Demonstrated ability to weld Nickel alloys, Carbon Steel, and Aluminum
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Solid understanding of metallurgy and welding techniques for various base materials
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Ontario occupational health and safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine the appropriate welding process for each job.
  • Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness and verify conformance to specifications, codes, and quality standards.
  • Prepare materials and set up welding devices and/or welding arms as required, ensuring proper configuration prior to each operation.
  • Provide on-the-job training, instruction, and development opportunities for lesser-skilled welders as availability permits, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Responsible for the safe operation and daily maintenance of MIG and TIG welding equipment used for Nickel, Steel, and Aluminum applications.
  • Performs all work in full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations, including: Working in a manner that protects personal safety and the safety of co-workers. Using all prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate respiratory protection. Reporting unsafe conditions, near-misses, or workplace injuries to the supervisor immediately. Participating in safety training, inspections, and health & safety committee initiatives as required.
