About The Position

The Laser Technician will be responsible for basic laser programming, setup, and nesting for various laser machines including BLM, Mitsubishi, Bystronic, Amada, and Mazak lasers, applicable for both 2D and 5-Axis lasers. This role supports laser production, identifies and resolves downtime concerns, and manages laser consumable stock. The technician will also recommend and implement efficiency improvements, scrap/rework reduction efforts, and ensure proper preventative maintenance is conducted on machines. Additionally, the role involves assisting in training operators on machine maintenance and upkeep, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Two or more years in a laser cutting/fabrication environment
• Ability to setup laser equipment
• High school degree or two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Must be able to pass a visual acuity test with or without corrected lenses
• Excellent attitude, attendance, and communication are paramount
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Must be able to work as part of a team environment

Responsibilities
