About The Position

Responsible for the operation of the laser and computer. This role involves obtaining and applying information from Work Instruction Files/Travelers, verifying work order information, and ensuring product identity. The operator will visually inspect products for cosmetic defects, read and understand blueprints, and verify lot codes to customer specifications. Key tasks include lasering and inspecting product to blueprint specifications, understanding and following policies and procedures, and documenting all work done in the work cell. The position also requires utilizing and completing documents, preparing product for transfer to the next work cell, and labeling/identifying product. The operator may operate a vision system for laser scale verification and perform operator preventive maintenance operations as needed.

Requirements

High School Graduate, or equivalent.
Ability to read blueprints.
Familiarization with schedules.
Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtain and apply information from Work Instruction File/Travelers.
Verify work order information.
Verify product identity.
Visually inspect product for cosmetic defects.
Read and understand blueprints.
Verify lot codes to customer specifications.
Laser and inspect product to blueprint specifications.
Understand and follow policy and procedures.
Document and record all work done in work cell.
Follow Process Information Sheets.
Utilize and complete documents.
Prepare product for transfer to next work cell.
Label and identify product in/out of work cell.
May operate vision system for laser scale verification.
Perform and document Operator Preventive Maintenance operations, as needed.
May set up laser and computer as necessary.
Assist in other areas of production, as needed.
May be required to train others in similar roles once competency is demonstrated.
