About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator / Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting laser cutting equipment to support high-quality production in a fast-paced machine shop environment. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of machining principles (threads, keys, bearing fits, bushings)
• Knowledge of basic geometry and measurement techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical or production equipment
• Familiarity with laser cutting systems, programs, and controls

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines for production runs
• Interpret and execute laser programs with accuracy and efficiency
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications
• Operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely
• Use lifting equipment to move raw materials and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines
