Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to set-up and operate the Amada laser cutting machine. This individual will be performing machine set-up including program retrieval, ensuring proper gases and nozzles, and correct material selection. This position is a weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, 12 hours shifts, paid for 40.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a related field preferred.
Prior knowledge of operation of laser equipment required.
Ability to understand and follow customer prints and possess good math skills.
Strong organizational, analytic, and time management skills, attention to detail.
Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ability to diagnose machine problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
Performs laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively per specifications.
Performs detailed checks to the quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
Operates and navigates in a Windows-based computer environment.
Ability to program nesting software to maximize product/material usage.
Adheres to safety procedures and regulations, including proper maintenance and housekeeping of laser area.
Performs other related duties as required.
