About The Position

We are currently seeking a Laser Operator (Amada Laser – 4i Control) to join our team. Laser Operators are a vital part of production, helping form and cut parts by operating machinery safely and accurately. Team members are assigned to a primary area, but are empowered to cross-train to learn additional machines and grow their skills.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, and instructions from supervisors/managers.
• No experience required, but successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture high-quality parts.
• MUST BE DEPENDABLE — our customers count on us to get the job done and it takes every one of us.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with a wide variety of internal personnel.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Ability to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers, and other outside parties.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must show concern for quality and practice continuous improvement.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger/handle/feel; reach with hands and arms; crouch and kneel; talk and hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Must wear safety glasses and steel toe boots.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all company procedures for safety.
• Inspect work pieces to confirm they conform to specifications; adjust machine settings to correct errors.
• Follow technical instructions and interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
