Reporting directly to the Fabrication Supervisor we are currently seeking a Laser Operator in our welding department for our Afternoon shift to be based at our Price, UT facility. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC laser fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with fiber laser cutting equipment.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, material properties, and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances while consistently producing high-quality parts.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic machine diagnostics.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple jobs and maintain an orderly work area.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, efficiency, and reducing material waste.
  • Dependable attendance record with a strong work ethic and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as production demands require.

Nice To Haves

  • Press brake experience preferred.
  • Press Brake Knowledge: Familiarity with press brake operations, tooling setup, and supporting downstream fabrication processes is preferred.
  • Safety Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, equipment safety, and proper PPE while working around heavy machinery.
  • Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, programming and operating the laser machine to produce laser cut panels and parts in our welding department.
  • Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools to verify part quality and dimensions.
  • Operating CNC laser cutting equipment, including loading programs, setting offsets, and monitoring production.
  • Troubleshooting equipment, performing routine maintenance, making minor adjustments, and recognizing when repairs are needed.
  • Downloading programs, navigating machine software, and working with manufacturing technology.
  • Safely loading sheet steel, operating automation towers (if applicable), and organizing raw materials and finished parts.
  • Working well with fabrication teams, communicating effectively, staying organized, and consistently meeting production goals.
