About The Position

We are a full-service metal manufacturing company that was founded in 1908. Our capabilities include stamping, precision laserjet and waterjet cutting, welding and assembly, short run stamping & long run stamping. We are dedicated to our people, processes, and continuous improvement! We hope you can join us in our journey! The purpose of this position is to set-up and operate the Amada laser cutting machine. This individual will be performing machine set-up including program retrieval, ensuring proper gases and nozzles, and correct material selection. This position is a weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, 12 hours shifts, paid for 40.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior knowledge of operation of laser equipment required.
Ability to understand and follow customer prints and possess good math skills.
Strong organizational, analytic, and time management skills, attention to detail.
Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Ability to diagnose machine problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
Performs laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively per specifications.
Performs detailed checks to the quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
Operates and navigates in a Windows-based computer environment.
Ability to program nesting software to maximize product/material usage.
Adheres to safety procedures and regulations, including proper maintenance and housekeeping of laser area.
Performs other related duties as required.
