About The Position
The Laser Cell Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC laser-cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components used in SmartCap® products. The role involves reading blueprints, setting machine parameters, performing quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operators ensure safe work practices and follow SmartCap® procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CNC or laser-cutting equipment.
- ERP system experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and operation of CNC laser cutting machines and equipment.
- Operate laser machines following work instructions, blueprints, or work orders.
- Inspect completed parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and monitor machine performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety rules and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.
