LAS Dean's Office Assistant and Marketing Intern

About The Position
The LAS Dean's Office is seeking a student who is articulate, creative, outgoing, organized, motivated, and interested in joining our team to help with social media, marketing, and market research. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, comfortable doing online research and outreach, and eager to improve the face of LAS. This student will report to the Dean's Assistants.
Requirements
- Student must be an LAS undergraduate student of Butler University.
- Applicants must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work independently
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Comply with University standards and policies.
- Ensure confidentiality of information.
Nice To Haves
- Previous social media content creation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office core products.
- Ability to use creative and social media platforms (Adobe Express, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, X).
- Graphic design and videography experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Produce creative, trending content for social media
- Conduct independent research
- Compose summary reports
- Make inquiries via phone and email
- Survey and collect information from staff and faculty
- Greet visitors to the Dean's Suite
- Exhibit initiative to work independently and collaboratively
- Attend recruiting and community building events
- Capture and edit videos and photos from events for social media and other marketing
- Other duties as needed
