Pepsi Beverages United States (PBUS) is PepsiCo’s beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States. This position will be part of the North America Beverage organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • The work schedule for this role will be Sunday - Thursday with days off being Friday and Saturday but is subject to change.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 lbs. periodically
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leading execution and managing customer relationships in large format accounts.
  • Leading a team of frontline employees to merchandise orders for key customers in a fast-paced direct store delivery environment.
  • Driving superior marketplace execution and customer service, share growth and profit performance.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, promoting, and managing all aspects of the performance of the full-time Merchandising team.
  • Serving as an Executional Leader in large format for Pods, providing a second layer of sales and service support for the Territory Sales Leader.
  • Coaching and leading a team of full-time merchandisers on selling, display execution, and merchandising standards.
  • Providing guidance, influential leadership and support to Large Format Presell Representatives with key selling initiatives via a dotted line reporting relationship.
  • Owning large format customer relationships, flagging any potential risks or concerns.
  • Supporting large format overall business development, including crafting pitch strategies and materials.
  • Assigning full-time merchandisers to a consistent set of large format and high-volume accounts to service on a regular basis; adjusting store assignments as needed to ensure proper service coverage for any fill-ins or backup.
  • Conducting ‘work-withs/route rides’ with frontline employees to develop their merchandising and customer service skills.
  • Applying knowledge of merchandising principles to drive productivity.
  • Briefing frontline employees on scheduling and meeting productivity goals.
  • Anticipating potential customer issues; applying contingency planning to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
  • Training frontline employees and utilizing processes and tools.
  • Interviewing, training, and onboarding any newly hired merchandisers.
  • Tracking and monitoring key performance metrics (KPIs) including review volume and waste targets and action against opportunities.
  • Overseeing Pod compliance including conducting audits of merchandiser and LF PSR in-store huddles and daily digests.
  • Supervising daily operations, delegating tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Working closely with the Territory Sales Leader and Sales Representatives to execute sales strategy across the merchandising team.
  • Soliciting feedback and input from the Sales Representatives working alongside the Merchandising Team as part of the regular performance review process.
  • Setting productivity and service targets, measuring performance to drive accountability.
